Q: Council members routinely resign so that their Democratic colleagues can appoint a replacement who then runs as an incumbent. If you are elected in November, will you pledge to serve out your four-year term?

A: We currently have two active members on City Council who were never voted into their position. The people of Columbus didn’t pick these councilmembers – politicians did. Pay attention, Columbus – you are being fleeced. I’m not running for office to leapfrog into higher and higher political positions. I am running so that I may have the opportunity to serve my city in the position of City Councilman.
